The house mouse
is the most commonly encountered and economically devastating
of the commensal rodents.
House mice are not
only a nuisance, but they also damage and destroy materials
by chewing and gnawing. They eat and contaminate stored food
and they are also of human health concern as disease carriers.
Signs of Infestation
1. Gnaw Marks
2. Droppings. Fresh droppings
are soft and moist whereas, old droppings are dried and hard.
Droppings are usually about 1/8-1/4" long, rod shaped
and with pointed ends.
3.Mice frequently use the
same paths, usually along a wall, stacked merchandise, etc.
Active runways are free of dust, cobwebs and usually have
fresh droppings.
4. Mice prefer seeds or
cereals, so keep things of this nature stored in hard, sealed
storage containers. |
